Shaanxi Electric Power Design Institute (SEPDI) subordinates to Shaanxi Electric Power Company and established in 1954. It has the "Class A" qualification on electric design, project exploration-survey and engineering procurement and construction£šEPC£©of electric project. In addition, it qualifies the class B architectural design and project consultation authorized by National Development and Reform Commission.SPEDI could undertake the planning and engineering of electric power system and the design on thermal generator, power transmission line and substation, the communication, new energy, geotechnical survey and exploration, hydrometeor, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, industry and civil architectural design as well as relevant technological consultation and service. Furthermore, SEPDI can hold project supervision, electric design evaluation, EPC project of bearing above- mentioned ranges. It has competent on independence exploration-survey and design consultation and supervision management within Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation allowance. It provide internal power exploration-survey , electrical consultation, design, supervision for electrical project , meanwhile, supporting the above mentioned material export, equipment export and project labor service.
SEPDI obtained GB/T19001£º 1994£¢The certificate of International Quality System issued by Great Wall Quality Assurance Center (Tianjin) in 1997, GB/T19001£º 2000£¢The Certification of Quality System£¢issued by the assurance center of Beijing National Electricity Federation in 2000 and £¢The Certification of Quality System, Occupational health and safety management£¢issued by the assurance center of Beijing National Electricity Federation in 2006.
The staff of SEPDI is 357 in existence, in which 63 are senior engineer, 89 engineers and 243 with post graduate and graduate diplomas, Among 79 registered or certificated professionals. There are 8 productive departments, 7 functional departments as well several economic entities with legal qualification £¢Shaanxi Chengxin Supervision Co. Ltd.£¢, £¢Shaanxi Gaozhi Electric Consultation Co. Ltd.£¢, £¢Shaanxi Yinhe Hongbo Power Generation Project Consulting Co. Ltd.£¢, £¢Qing Hua Ziguang Tongxing in Science & Technology Co., Ltd. of Environmental Protection£¢, £¢Xi'an Qinhuang Electric Engineering Company ( EPC Company)£¢. It has advanced computer-assisted design system, modern exploration-survey devices and excellent publish equipments.
In the past 50 years, SEPDI has completed more than 60 items of thermal power plant, more than 400 items of power transmission line including 10 items on 500 kV, among 500 items of power substation, more than 60 items of OPGW communication design on 330kV, more than 160 items of civil building. It has also completed guidance norm of designing as typical design project assigned by the nation and the classical design for innovation of urban and rural power network which extends the whole country. 750kV Qianxian-Linbao transmission line conception design has already been approved by State Grid Corporation of China.
